Matthew 25:35-40 “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?” The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Believing that all of our earthly blessings are given as tools to serve others, and having witnessed marvelous things happen when individuals give freely in Jesus’ Name, Kongsvinger Lutheran Church commits this series to God’s perfect will. The concert series is sponsored by the Kongsvinger Congregation. Each concert will benefit a family or individual who has suffered a severe medical emergency and incurred a large amount of medically related costs. A free-will offering will be taken and given in its entirety to the named beneficiary. Our hope is that the recipient will be blessed by the financial help and receive complete healing through the prayers of many people and the work of skillful medical workers. This congregation has experienced that when individuals give, they also are blessed in powerful ways - whether spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially, professionally, or sometimes in surprising ways! Every concert will be followed by desserts and coffee provided by the ladies of Kongsvinger Lutheran Church.
